The Better Peephole

Most houses in the urban community usually have a peephole on their doors. Well, this is not something new though but Hammacher Schlemmer has got an advanced version of this which they even dubbed as “The Better Peephole”.

So what makes this peephole better than the traditional peephole? It literally provides a large, full-color digital display for seeing visitors. Its lens provides a wide 96º field of view, and it uses a 1.3 megapixel CMOS that when it’s turned ON, the image of the person outside is displayed on its 2 1/2″ TFT screen.

Plus, Better Peephole has a zoom function that can magnify an image of up to 60º field of view. Better Peephole is powered with AA batteries and can fit through any standard door with a thickness of 1 1/4″ to 2 1/4″.
